Abstract

English Romanticism, a seminal literary movement of the late 18th and early 19th centuries, revolutionized the landscape of English literature with its emphasis on nature, emotion, imagination, and individual experience. This abstract traces the development of English Romanticism, from its origins in the cultural and intellectual ferment of the late 18th century to its zenith as a dominant literary force in the early 19th century. By examining the influences, themes, and key figures of the Romantic movement, this abstract provides an overview of its evolution and lasting impact on literature and culture. Through a nuanced exploration of Romantic poetry and its philosophical underpinnings, this abstract illuminates the enduring relevance of English Romanticism and its continued resonance in contemporary artistic discourse.
